Repeal Day isn't until December 5th, but...

it's worth noting anyway that Repeal Day is a holiday celebrating the repeal of the 18th amendment prohibiting the "manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors" in the United States. Crazy to think in our land that even happened, but I think it's worth celebrating that we've righted our wrongs.

The real reason for the post is that when I stumbled upon this today I realized that alcohol was illegal both before and immediately following the stock market crash, and the beginning of the great depression.
